Why doesn't People Hub let me enter international phone numbers?

People hub does not let me enter international phone number

When I want to enter a international phone number in a profile in the People Hub on my Nokia 520 the key board doesn't show the plus sign for me to do this.Am I missing some simple answer!

If you look at the ZERO button, on the keypad, they're is a plus symbol on it.

Hold down the zero and it becomes a plus. I use it all the time.
