Internet sharing uses Phone data and NOT WiFi

Hi, Nokia 735 user here. T-Mobile plan. Phone works great including text, LTE and MMS. Internet sharing works great but, what I've noticed is that WiFi turns off and uses my regular phone data. Any suggestions?

Indeed internet sharing uses data.
The idea of internet sharing is that you can create a wifi hot spot and another device can connect to this wifi.
But you only need this if there is no wifi.
If there is wifi than the other device can directly contact to that wifi.
