    I have finished my contract with network provider after 2 year contract will my phone be locked to them now conteact is over.any advice much appreciated thank you in advance

    Depends on the carrier - some provide unlocked phones whereas others will lock the device to their network and may charge a fee to unlock. What carrier are you with?

    It really depends, Kevin. Some carriers sell ONLY locked devices. Without more info we can't be sure.

    If your device was locked to your carrier when you purchased it, it will remain locked unless you take specific steps.

    What Carrier? What Device? Is the carrier's name or logo appearing anywhere on the outside of the device? Are there carrier specific Apps installed?

    Have you contacted your carrier about getting an unlock? What country are you in?
