My email has been syncing for 4+ hours now, why?

email been syncing for 4+ hours now

I have a Lumia 925 and did an update on it last night and now my AOL email has been syncing for 4+ hours. Why? Its draining my phone battery and probably my data plan!

Not that much which is why I don't know why its stuck.... Probably only had less than 40 in my inbox.... I dont know if the update is causing it to sync tons and tons IE what has been deleted, etc. I just want it to stopppp.
