Why did my charging port melt and how do i charge my phone now

I plugged in my phone to charge last night and i woke up to it melted can still connect my charger but it just wont charge it started to but i pressed a button and it said that the charger disconnected

Hope its under warranty still, you need to have it repaired

I'd say you more likely need a new cable because if your charging port "melted" because a surge big enough to melt the aluminum in the port would easily have been more than enough to fry the circuitry inside your phone.. Mini USB port, right? Happens all the time. You can probably get a generic one at the closest convenience store for less than $10.
