Now that Windows insider is out, does it mean that the Preview for developers is not going to see any updates at all or in a long time?

Via PFD? it doesnt bring much as per Mark in the forum who checked out the 640 line
For me the new "Settings" and individual pinning of settings to start screen itself is a big deal.

Insider app is for technical preview updates of W10 which are beta stages of the OS.
Pfd is the app that let's u get ur hands in finished OS builds without having to wait for carriers to release them or till MS release specific firmware like denim.
So pfd is probably still gonna be updated once the W10 OS is consumer ready.
And yes GDR2 will come to pfd users early like usual updates.

I would presume that gdr2 would be release through pfd,and win10 updates on the insider app,but I don't know if that's true or when/if that will happen

the reason I ask that is that the GDR 2 doesnt have much changes that might affect the developers and hence doesnt need to be invested on in the PFD while the Win 10 will make a huge change in the OS and FW which would also mean that Developers will have to adapt for "one last time" to the changes.

Even MS knows that PfD is not strictly for developers, but is a way for regular people like ua to bypass long waits.

We really have no idea what's in GDR2. It could have some nice tweaks under the hood they aren't advertising.

I wonder if this is accurate..
