How to hard reset my L930 and what will doing that cause?

Performing a hard reset will erase all your personal custom data from your phone. However, it will not roll your phone back to a previous OS/Firmware version.

A hard reset can be performed by either going to your phone settings > about > tap on "reset your phone", or by pressing a certain button combination (press and hold the power volume-down and camera buttons).

Saw this one, too, from the windowsphone page, but I also saw a different button combination (as posted). However, the Settings > About > Reset your phone would be my first recommendation.

There is no guarantee that a hard reset will fix the issue you're experiencing. However, a soft reset (press volume down and power button together until your phone restarts) might fix it. Give it a shot.

I'm aware of that, thank you. But the OP did not mention that the phone was unresponsive.

Last friday(I.e. Yesterday) my phones screen automatically turned into a black...and was not responding...only hardware buttons were I can only used at that time...i made soft reset but it didn't worked...again I made soft reset and at this time it worked...and now I'm using my phone w/o a hard reset...Soft reset fix the phones about of 75-80% cases

When my phone restarted after my battery went out, the sensor problem was gone, then I turned on the camera and it was back. I did a soft reset and it worked but I heard this is like a placebo until the next camera switch (front/back) lenses...

I'm going to run some tests now to see if the bug comes back, if it does, I'll go for the hard choice.

Yep, it didn't take long. Did as they said, switched the cameras and the bug's back. Backing up my stuff now for the hard reset...
