Why does Lumia 930 Charging Plate not connecting with my PC?

I have the 'out-of-box' circular charging plate for my Nokia 930, and for some reason when I connect it to my full functioning USB port, it simply blinks and does not charge.

Does it work if you use the wallplug.
If yes the device is not broken.
Is this charger a dt-601?
If you connect them to a USB port this port should be a "charging" USB port.
So try another USB port and or switch on your PC if you connect the plate.
If the power output of the USB it too low you get this blinking.
But also be aware that the position of the phone on the plate is critical (needs to be placed correct).

I think USB ports might not supply enough power.

I could be mistaken however.
