Windows Central Question

Will the new Surface 3 run Autodesk's Fusion 360 Ultimate which I tested on a Surface Pro i5 with 4GB RAM, and it ran really well

The Surface Pros are much more powerful than this Surface 3.

If you can take something like the baseline Dell Venue 11 Pro, 8 Pro, ASUS Transformer Book T100 or another Atom tablet to test, might give you a better idea, although I don't know how much better this new generation of Atom in the 3 is.

My wager is that it'll definitely run, but with complicated assemblies and stuff, maybe not so much.

Well my plan is to purchase the Surface 3 - Higher Model, as it is in my price point, and use it for Smaller Assemblies, Part Files, some AutoCAD and perhaps the new OnShape. Once I need to do Large Assemblies etc I will switch to my Desktop Computer. Then in a year's time when I will be working on a large Contract, I will Purchase The Top Surface Pro 3 (or 4) and it will be my Desktop/ Mobile Workstation.
