Windows 8.1 still showing up after I deleted the hard drive

During the installation process of Windows 7 Home Premium it restarted and during the boot process it showed Windows 7 as it should and then it also showed Windows 8.1 even though I deleted the whole hard drive before installing Windows 7. I thought if I delete the whole hard drive it would get rid of EVERYTHING? Was it a glitch? Because it only showed on the screen for half a second.
