Can any nokia lumia phone do a group chat with people on an IPhone?

I am currently on a phone that is not a smartphone. It is an LG that lets you slide the phone to the right to open a keyboard. Anyway I was planning on getting a Nokia Lumia 1520 and was wondering if I can do a group chat with people on an iphone.

Yes. I have groupchat with iphone users via MMS, facebook messenger, or Skype. I'm sure theirs others, I just haven't used them.

Most likely a bunch of iPhone users would be on iMessage and that would exclude any non-Apple phones. You would want to be clear with them what App you prefer. like Skype or WhatsApp that are truly cross platform.

Via text? As long as MMS is configured properly (which it should be anyway on any phone) it will work.

My busmates and I have a group text for locating the bus. Group consists of various iPhone's, two Lumia's, and maybe a Galaxy.
