I need a Windows tablet that will allow me to manually set the threshold for when a battery should initiate a recharge cycle when plugged in. Most devices start recharging when battery falls below 95%. I would like it to be closer to 40%.
I intend to use the tablet on AC power by my desk daily. However, I will be unplugging it and going mobile a few times during each day. I do not want it to recharge every single time I plug it back into AC power. And I do not want to run it on battery power all day either.
Basically, I want to run the tablet on AC power but I do not want it to recharge unless the battery has fallen below my threshold (e.g. 40%). In this way, I can go an entire week with only about 3 recharge cycles... instead of 20 unnecessarily shallow recharge cycles.
Can I get a few recommendations for Windows 8 tablets that support this feature? I had my mind set on buying a Surface until I found out it wouldn't allow for this.
