if you want to format go to SETTINGS>ABOUT>RESET MY PHONE remeber to back up your data as you will lose all of it. :) good day

The chances of there being a virus on there are pretty small.

You need to find a way to attack the windows phone operating system with some malicious code, thus making a need for antivirus software on windows phone,once other hackers start using your method and the mallware becomes more prevalent,you can then download an antivirus program,should it become available,you will need to check the developer notes on how exactly you scan your phone using this antivirus
