What will happen to Windows Media Center in the Windows 10 update? Also, I'm currently using an OEM version of Windows 7 Home Premium purchased from Newegg. Will this version make a difference with the free update from Microsoft?

The OEM version of Windows 7 makes no difference. You will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free for 12 months after 10 is released. As others have mentioned, Media Center will not be included or available for Windows 10. If WMC is something you absolutely need, stick with Windows 7 or 8.1.

I think there is no Media Center in 10, so you may want to hold onto that.

It's not "for" 12 months, it's "in" the 12 months. Once you upgrade, its for you forever!

Media Center won't be a part of Windows 10 RTM. But, Microsoft confirmed that their will be an alternative to that. Most probably, Windows Media Player will do the task, or there will be a different program for DVD and TV support, but not Media Center. (I wish a beautiful universal app though ;) )
