Until now, the new update doesn't fix the touch issue yet. I hope you will always post a new update until the issue is gone.

    Welcome to Windows Central.

The new update was indeed an attempt to "fix" the touch screen issue (as discussed elsewhere in the forums). However, not all users are experiencing the needed "fix" while those who did aren't really experiencing a "fix" but rather just a slight improvement in the reliability of the touch screen.

The only real fix for that issue, so far, is to have the screen replaced either in a service center or through Microsoft. Service centers seem to have been made aware of the issue are are replacing the screens of L535s with a newer screen that no longer has the touch reliability issues. Also, the phone should still be covered by warranty, so service and replacement fees should not be a concern.
