Windows Central Question

Is there a way to move a (large) directory, and then scan the computer for all the shortcuts to that directory, and update them?

I need to know because I am moving a projects folder onto a new hard drive, and I literally have shortcuts going in and out of the directory all over the rest of the computer. My life is going to be a total pain in the **** if for the next months I have to keep updating a ton of shortcuts manually. Is there some program or something out there that will accomplish this? Also, any alternatives to this kind of thing would be really helpful if you've got 'em.

Thanks much!
