Windows Central Question

Over 6 months ago, I received an upgrade for microsoft starter 10 popup on my computer. I have never clicked on it for fear it might be a trojan. I have seen other questions about this on the web, but there has been no definitive answer. Please advise.

Does sound strange, as the update to Win7&8 which enabled the upgrade message, only got released via Windows Update a couple months ago (March from memory) and was only 'activated' a few weeks ago. So most likely a Trojan of some kind...

I believe the OP is talking about Office '10 or Office 2010.

OP can you join the site and reply in this thread with Clarification? Do you mean Windows 10? Do you mean Microsoft Office 2010 Starter?

If Office '10 Starter, where did the offer appear? As a popup on your desktop? On the web? In the system tray?
