Why isn't there a native audio recorder app on windowsphone. I think it's a huge miss and a essential app.. I have tried many audio recorder apps, but they were all crap. I think microsoft should develop one. An audio recorder that can record when you are switcing apps is verry usefull. Does anyone know a great audio recorder app that does work well. Thanks

In windows 10 there will be a native audio recorder.
You should have included a list of recording apps you tried to prevent getting the same app suggestions.

    Got Cortana?

Put Cortana in listen mode. "Take a note." She'll tell you she is ready. Speak your note and it is saved to... OneNote.

Switching Apps while recording probably is not going to happen... Any tap of the Home or Back buttons will cut off the recording. In case of Cortana taking a note it just closes Cortana and dumps the note.
