Why cant i unlock my lumia 630 in windows 10 for phones?

I've been using it for about a month now and its been great. However, i slided up the lockscreen and every time i type in the passcode it keeps saying "incorrect pin". Cant even unlock phone if I restart it. Also for some particular reason there is now no security feature to put the phone on lockdown for "x" amount of minutes; this worked before but i can type in any and every passcode under the sun and it never locks down. It almost as though the phone has deleted the unlock function.
