I recently applied for the reservation of Windows 10 via the icon on my Windows 7 system. After a few days the computer went slow and I decided to reinstall Windows. However I didn't find the install media and I remembered I have a Windows 8.1 license lying around, so I did a clean install.
After installing the Win 10 icon wasn't there. Does that mean the reservation is attached to the PC, not to the Windows license key? Will I get my update now? I have the latest Windows updates and I even searched for the Windows 10 notification update manually and installed it but it didn't have any effect.
