    Sorry, if my title is too vague. What I want to ask is that -

    On an Android phone, you can play any video without converting them. Can you do the same on a WP too?

    Also, what are some key difference between Android and WP?

    Well we have a plethora of video players that can handle most anything. Personally I would say Moliplayer is the best, but we still have vlc, tv&video app (xbox video app), quick play etc etc

    I usually use a video converter to handle my video files.

    Update 2 can handle MKVs. On Windows, if you copy a video it may even offer to convert to a file that the stock video app can handle.

    Moliplayer and VLC expand on that supported format list dramatically.

    I'd search these forums for Android vs. WP info.
