Lumia 930/1520 owners: Are the new rumored W10 phones worth the upgrade?

At least for me, the specs are not that groundbreaking compared to my current 1520, and I am giving away screen size. One more GB of RAM, and current flagship processors instead of their successors? Only Win Hello is something noticeable, hardware-wise. And since I will be able to get Win10 on the L1520, there is not much software-wise that I am missing. I think I can safely skip this generation and wait for the next one. What do you think?

I'd want to wait until we get a real good official final look to completely judge, but hey, plenty of people skipped the 930/1520-generation so I suppose you could too.

The 930/1520 seems to have pretty good hardware.

The 1520 sold quite well! The only reason I did not get it was the size. It did not fit in my pocket well, and it required two hands. But really solid phone!

The 930 has better a better screen (441 px), and I liked the size.

I was hoping to see a 1020 upgrade - but nope.

But why people did not consider it a flagship, I wonder? It was released in Sept 2014? Was it too late?

Thoughts?

I'll upgrade. The problem is, I'm not sure if it'll come to ATT. If it doesn't then I stay with the 1520. And if nothing else worthy comes soon, I'm out. I know it's not all MS fault but I'm not hanging around for another two years waiting for a worthy upgrade. Nor will I spend over $600 for an unlocked version to use on ATT.

I will upgrade but not immediately. I purchase my phones outright, off contract. Usually get them about 6-9 months after they come out, when the price has drooped considerably. This has worked well for me and I have never missed having a current "flagship". Very happy MS will be offering unlocked versions thru their stores.

With the current trend to buy the phones without subsidies (such as ATT Next), and with my current plan, I think that the best way will be indeed wait for some time before upgrading. Heck, maybe there are two more years before my L1520 becomes obsolete.
