Windows 10 is slow because your upgrade did not go well. Before completely going back to 8.1 I would suggest giving W10 another shot by performing a clean install.
1) Install Speccy and note down your upgraded W10 Key
2) Download the appropriate W10 ISO (W10 Home/Pro x86/x64) using Microsoft's "Image Creation Tool"
3) Backup all your files
4) Look for latest W10 drivers from the manufacturer website. W8.1 drivers will also do
4) Create a bootable USB using "Windows 7 USB Tool", create a folder called drivers and move all the latest downloaded drivers on to it
5) Perform a clean W10 install using the USB, install drivers and activate with the newly upgraded Windows 10 key.
If you are reluctant to go to 10 then check if your PC has a 8.1 sticker somewhere. If not then revert back to 8.1 as the post mentioned above. Also using Speccy note down your 8.1 key this time as a backup. If you still have problems after rolling back to 8.1 perform my suggested steps for 8.1. Your can download the W8.1 ISO from Microsoft's website.
