Can I update Windows 7 to 10?

update windows 7 to 10

got my windows 10 update available click to continue did this and got the rotating dotted circle with working on it message 8hrs and 30 mins later on still got the same message. It is not updating

Though the time is longer than expected, it would be recommendable not to touch your PC or interrupt the process - doing so may result in loss of data or damage to the physical drives.

"Working on it" has been running for 4 hours. I've checked the updates and it says that the update to windows 10 download failed. Updating from Windows 7.
What should I do?

I would try it at least one more time to see if it takes.

Do you see an error code associated with the "Download failed" error?
