Why does my sound keep going out?

I installed Windows 10 and my sound will be okay for a little while then it goes out, when I try to test it it says it is being used by another application. I do not want to have to reboot every time. I have done that and I am still faced with the same dilemma. Please advise I am getting frustrated and ready to go back to my previous Windows.

Quite likely you need new drivers. And an uninstall of the old drivers first.
