how do i delete and then reinstall cortana so that I can start over again

I messed up signing on to Cortana, and now I want to start over again

Cortana is part of system, you can't delete or uninstall it, if you want it, you could reinstall your Windows

Btw what kind of messed up thing? If Cortana is just can't pronounce your name, you could make her say it again

I believe there is a setting that lets you erase everything Cortana knows. May be able to clear that and start over.

Well you can change your name in settings -> Cortana, or if you've chosen interests you don't prefer, again you can easily change them by opening Cortana, opening the menu on the right, selecting interests and adding new ones.
