You don't say what type of phone...

Assuming it is a Windows Phone there is no "Jailbreak."

Do you want to know if the SIM tray is unlocked for use with any SIM? Dial ##7820# and you will see a screen with a SIM card and a Padlock in front of it. The lock will show locked or unlocked... However, even on Factory Unlocked phones, recent updates have caused this to show as locked by default after every update or reset.

Better then, would be if you could tell us more about your phone. In settings > extras + info, what does it say under "Manufacturer Name" and "Mobile Operator."
