Why is my audio device not installed after windows 10 upgrade?

I just updated windows 10 and my laptop now is saying that there is 'no audio output device installed" with a little 'x' near the speaker icon. I have tried to fix it by going onto device manager and trying multiple of options to try and fix, such as manually installing an audio device and trying to show 'disabled' audio but all have failed. However most of he instructions i have found were for windows 7. PLEASE help me try to fix this

Check your manufacturers website for drivers. Audio drivers can be quite specific to a laptop.
