How do pdf files work with Windows 10?

What do I do? How do I save a pdf file in Windows 10 - they are all turning into Microsoft Edge pages which I cannot edit? Even an expenses claim which I used with Windows 7 and 8, no problem, is now unusable!!! Help

In Edge when it displays the PDF you can right click in the middle of the PDF and click Save As.

For a saved PDF you can right click and Open with Acrobat (assuming installed).

If on a Edge page and having issues, select ... menu and open in Internet Explorer.
