Hm. Go ahead and do a soft reset, just to see if it helps anything. Go into Battery Saver and just make sure you don't have any suspicious looking applications lurking in the background. Uninstall any applications you just recently installed and see if there's any improvements. Just go in and clear out in unnecessary guff. Delete old texts you don't need, temporary files, browsing history, stuff like that. Do another soft reset or two while you're doing this. I can go into more detail if necessary but for the sake of being lazy I'm going to assume you know how to do all this.
I'd like to avoid a hard reset but keep us updated.
