    Hi there,

Last week my uncle donated me his old desktop server; Acer Veriton M661. It had Windows Server X64 pre installed which I replaced with Windows 7 X86. But the computer still runs slow, especially after it woke up from sleep. The Windows is updated and there are no driver issues. I did a Windows Experience Index Assessment test and the scores were:

    Component Details Subscore Base score

    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8300 @ 2.83GHz - 6.3
    Memory (RAM) 3.00 GB - 6.3

Gaming graphics 256 MB Total available graphics memory - 3.4
    Primary hard disk 46GB Free (74GB Total) - 5.4

    Windows 7 Home Premium

    Manufacturer Acer
    Model Veriton T/M/S661;461

    64-bit capable Yes

Total size of hard disk(s) 74 GB
Disk partition (C:) 46 GB Free (74 GB Total)
    Media drive (D:) CD/DVD

Display adapter type Intel(R) Q35 Express Chipset Family
Total available graphics memory 256 MB
    Dedicated graphics memory 0 MB
    Dedicated system memory 64 MB
    Shared system memory 192 MB
    Display adapter driver version
    Primary monitor resolution 1280x1024
DirectX version DirectX 9.0 or better

Network Adapter Intel(R) 82566DM-2 Gigabit Network Connection
Network Adapter Realtek RTL8188EU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter
Network Adapter Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

I don't know what to do exactly with these number but I think, I need to upgrade this PC. But before I upgrade it, I am here for some expert advice. I actually need a budget friendly upgrade suggestions. Additionally, I am having an another issue, the computer have two hard drive of 80 GB each but it displays only one, even in Windows boot set-up. I have tested both hard drives they are working perfectly fine. I have read in an article that servers uses different hard drive than regular PCs, and Windows 7 doesn't support server hard drives. If this is true, then the performance issues might be, because of hard drive?

Any advices or suggestions are welcome and appreciated!
