How can I fix wait operation has timed out?

wait operation has timed out

I click on a desktop icon and get this message.not all the time but when I do it closes all tabs,i have to sign back on to all of them.

It might be happening due to a bad upgrade, a restart should fix it. Also make sure you have all the updates from Windows Update. If this is an ongoing issue then I would suggest performing a clean install using ISO/USB media
