Home-build desktop with clean Win10 install "morning sickness"

Frequently at 1st morning power-on, starting one computer to Windows 10 pro, we get to the splash with the rotating dots - - the dots freeze and the desktop powers down. Restart behaves normally. Event logs show one critical Kernel-power error and several nvraid errors. Nothing is flagged in System>device manager.

Odd that it powers off. Perhaps some kind of BIOS issue? Check for an update. Event log should show something for a shutdown though.
