Microsoft says that Australia is a Teriary Market what does that mean?

I logged onto microsoftstore.com.au and up popped a chat app and it was Charlie and asked him why are we have to wait so long for Hardware releases and the answer he gave me is because in Australia we are not a primary or secondary market but a teriary one. Can yuio believe this comment.

Yes. I can believe it.

For MS, anything that is not the U.S. (primary), China, India or the big E.U. 5 (secondary) is a tertiary market.

The way MS prioritizes international markets is a terrible policy IMHO.


For people in Europe it's even worse, as it also affects the availability of software services. That means a person living just 5 miles away accross the border, using the exact same device and OS, may have a more extensive set of features available to them.
