Whatsapp on win 10 mobile

So i have been wanting to try out windows 10 mobile for a while now but didnt because i only have a single phone which i use for my daily use. But the current build looks quite stable. So i want to give it a shot. Can anyone tell me what happens to my existing whatsapp account? Do i need to reactivate it or it works normally without any reactivation?

WhatsApp works normally, without activation after you upgrade to Windows 10 10581 Technical Preview.
Note: It requests activation when your phone is restored to 8.1 from 10, and also if you performed hard reset.

It'll work normally. But you'll lose your chats, I guess.

If you make a backup to sd card most probably it will ask to restore during initial setup. Make sure not to erase your sd card during hard reset.

No i'm not looking to do any hard reset, just looking to install windows 10 on my lumia 920 from win 8.1. Thanks though
