how do i connect to the internet when you have a problem with the dns

I have no data connection, every time I try to log onto the internet this pops up"Error: Can not find server or DNS error. "How can I fix this problem? My data is all paid for and I can't use it,why?

Is this happening on your computer or your phone? If it is your phone, I would say check your APN settings and make sure that they match with the ones your carrier will use.
