Hi HP has a print and scan doctor that is really great. I recommend HP. I have a old 7510 and it's still going!

The problem I have with HP though is this however.
HP?s DRM sabotages off-brand printer ink cartridges with self-destruct date | Ars Technica

(and I'm still bitter about webOS)

Hi @ xandros9 ! HP ink cartridges are very expensive. I hadn't heard those stories before. You can almost buy a new printer for the price of the cartridges. My HP has 5 and it's about 70$. I don't do that much printing. My printer is 5 years old and I'm sure the new printers are better and the ink cheaper.
I was banned from there forum. I can't even remember why. I probably deserved it.

I've been using Epson Workforce Pro printers for the last 8 yrs. The latest 4740 was purchased cheap, 149 on sale, and works great. Ink is expensive though.
