I am presently using a Lumia 930 which has been rock solid and reliable for the last 2 years and I am finally getting my pre-ordered 950 tomorrow.
My question is what is the best way to transfer EVERYTHING over to my new shiny 950? I have all sorts of apps, photos, WhatsApp chats, emails etc which I would ideally like to wave a magic wand and have them all transferred without losing anything .......... is this possible?
If you're using Windows 10 Mobile on your 930, take a look and see which apps are backing up your data. On the day before, make sure you perform a manual backup (and it succeeds).
On the new phone, sign in with the same Microsoft account and elect to restore the backup. This will give you most of your stuff back.
For photos/videos, this depends on whether you have the auto upload turned on. If not, manually copy that content off.
When you change over, don't factory rest your old phone for a while, you never know what you might need to get back to.
