Why do most tablets (not counting overpriced ones) have only 2gb ram.
They (tablets with 2 gb ram) can run puttym (?) electrum, torrent client firefox ( webbrowser firefox) and MarvinSketch (Chemical drawing software) at the same time.

Or in other words why can 2gb ram devices run a few programs at the same time?

Answer: If you have more ram a device will run faster (and more ram means also a more expensieve device) but that does not mean that devices with less ram do not work.
Please do not forget that the first PC's had only 256 mb ram and they also worked.
