Window's upgraded last night without my prior knowledge of it. Now after signing in and waiting for it to finish the 'upgrade', I can no longer access my Window's apps at all, the Window's icon is still on my desktop. Cortana is not operational yet it too is on the desktop, no instant access to my sound meter and many other elements I depended on the desktop. Where did my apps go? My business used them exclusively! HELP!- Melanie E. H.

Have you tried a reboot? It may smooth over the glitches...

If not, use a Restore Point.

In the search box on your taskbar type "restore"and select the "Create a Restore Point" result. In the window that opens click on "System Restore" and follow the prompts.
