Need to remove windows 10 mobile preview..

Signed up for windows insider, downloaded windows 10 mobile preview and now i can get windows 8.1 back. This preview is crushing my battery. How do I remove this rubbish?

The following topic has an opening post that not only tells you how to install Windows 10 Mobile with Insider Preview, it also tells you how to revert back to your prior OS should something not be right. Battery life is specifically mentioned as a reason to revert back.

It should be noted, however, that battery life depends on the particular model you have. Some devices have wonderful battery life, while there are a few that suffer. There are some that require a hard reset to normalize battery life after the upgrade. It works for some, not for others. Depends on the model you have.

Before reverting back, try disabling background operations for specific apps under Battery Saver. I found the Facebook Beta was killing mine. Disabled it and it's fine now.
