Hdmi help me!!

My tv hdmi port messed up I bought a hdmi converter I hooked it up nothing happened then I hooked my friends ps4 up and right away it worked so I am wondering if it is a setting problem I need help want my Xbox one hooked up

You can try plugging your Xbox into another TV and lowering the output resolution from HDMI. It's possible that it was manually set to a resolution (besides Auto) and your HDMI converter doesn't support it.
