I have recently moved from Android to Windows phone and am frustrated with the lack of alternative ams apps. On Android I used go sms pro, which provided a 'tick' when the message was delivered. I can only find a setting in Windows which actually sends you a text when the message has been delivered, which is not what I want. I've searched for alternatives online and it's just returning things like whatsapp and viber. Is there something I can use to send normal texts, ie on my contract and not via data usage which will provide this feature. Thanks.

    In a word, "No."

In Windows Phone 8.1, the API wasn't available for that outside of Microsoft. In Windows 10 Mobile, it will be possible, and we have the Messaging + Skype app that allows us to keep Skype and SMS/MMS conversations all in one place. It has not arrived as of yet.
