Windows Central Question

I work with the developer of a computationally intensive simulation software. I sell the stuff, so I don't need the uber performance of our techs, but, given the specs for the machine (i7/512GB/16GB RAM &GPU) I would expect faster runtimes than I am currently seeing.

I've seen some references on the interwebs to adjusting CSenabled to unlock a "High Performance" profile, but it doesn't seem to work on the SB.

Thoughts?

are you sure your expectations are in line with the machine? Not saying you're wrong or anything but there's a lot of different i7 models and although the Book can suffer from some issues, but I don't think performance below standard levels is one. It's got a tight thermal profile too I bet.

Also check power settings. It'll be best when plugged in by default.

Asking for less obvious tweaks makes me want to suggest a higher powered laptop actually.
