Why don't my external speakers work after downloading windows 10

[Windows Central Question]

So I downloaded windows 10, and my external speakers stopped working. Before I downloaded Windows 10 my external speakers worked just fine. I have tried plugging them into different AUX in's but none of them work. Whenever I plug it into the AUX in port closes to me, the computer recognizes the speakers but no sound is being emitted. This is defiantly a software problem because my speakers worked fine before Windows 10.

Have you checked the website of your speaker manufacturer for updated drivers for Windows 10?
