Windows Central Question

When using Onenote and Outlook together I'm having an issue.

A read a similar issue but that was more to do with items not syncing across
devices.

The issue happens when trying to set a task from an email from another
account as all my email comes into my work domain email, not my 365
account.

So I set the task from an email in my work domain account in outlook,
the task appears in the task list and todo bar.
I select the task then send the task to onenote (part of my task management plan) , the task subject and content transfer to onenote with no problem,
but the flag (in onenote) is instantly greyed out.

On hovering over the task flag in Outlook, I get this message
"we couldn't find this outlook task. You can only edit your own tasks that haven't been deleted"

I'm fairly sure this is because the email is from another account and not my 365 account, as I can set a task manually in the task bar and the link from onenote is stable.

Or am I missing something?
Any help much appreciated
