Why I cannot create or edit documents in word mobile?

I have surface pro 4. I installed a word mobile from windows store.
When i try to create a new document or edit existing document I cannot do it. Word says that I need office 365.
How can I create and edit documents in word mobile?

editing is possible for word mobile for devices less than 10 inches. Since you're using sp4, which is a 12 inch device with a full windows 10 OS, you should be using the full version of office and not office mobile apps
