Windows Central Question

I've tried everything that I have read on forums and have been unable to successfully back up my laptop computer. I am trying to back up to an external hard drive with plenty of space, and I'm continually met with the error.

"The semaphore timeout period has expired."

Error Code: 0X81000039

I've tried disabling the firewall, updating all drivers, and I'm still met with this error. It always seems to occur at 57% of the back up.

Would really appreciate some help in resolving this issue.

Manually backup? It's what I did yesterday, copied all 200Gb of photos, videos, docs etc to my external. Not a single error
