Can I somehow recieve photos on lumia 435 via wifi

This may all be up to my carrier(TELUS) but I was wondering if there is a way to receive photos via my phones internet connection if I don't have a data plan? And would the same answer apply to store apps? I have a Lumia 435.

You can get store Apps via WiFi. Pictures sent to you would need a carrier agnostic delivery vehicle like email, Skype, or any number of messaging Apps.
