Windows Central Question

I have ripped a bunch of cds on to my laptop and then thought id put them on my phone. So using the windows media app on my windows 8 laptop I synchronised the music over the my Nokia Lumia 535. However now when i go onto to music app and I go to play any of the 45 songs I downloaded it says that its corrupt and that it wont work. So upon some researching I used the windows phone app on the laptop to transfer the music but it says something about the music not having a licence and that I should delete them and download them straight from Xbox music. Considering I brought these albums I don't see why they wont go on my phone. Is there another app I can use on my phone to listen to it?
